Lunch at Usry’s this Sunday after church. Bring your favorite lunch meat, condiment, chips, dips, and drinks.
Homework assignment:
Study Paul’s testimony in Acts 22. Write down your testimony with emphasis on relevancy and God at work NOW.
For those that have missed last Sunday or two, we have been studying several Biblical examples of men who were “Being There”. This study has been in preparation for our group meeting to plan any upcoming activities.
For a brief review we have looked at the following:
Jesus addressing church in Ephesus (Rev 2) “you have forgot your first love” and “do the things you did at first”. Don’t forget JESUS in our activities.
We looked at Act 2:42 to see “the things you did at first”….the fellowship of believers and the actions that “found favor among men”. Result – many were saved!
We looked at Philip and the Ethiopian, Acts 8, and Philip listening and obeying the Holy Spirit and him being Prepared to present the gospel to a man searching for truth. Result – the lost were saved!
We looked at Peter, Acts 10, again, directed by Holy Spirit to forget his “religion” / culture and speaking at the home of the Centurion (Gentile) about the salvation found in Christ. Result – lost were saved!
We looked at Paul, Acts 17, in the market at Athens, speaking to Greek philosophers, being relevant in his presentation of the gospel. Result – the lost were saved!
We will continue along this same theme of being prepared and relevant this Sunday by studying testimony…so do your homework!.
God Bless
